The dynamic nature of our games gets me in trouble frequently during development. The latest one: water turns dirt into mud, mud falls, water then falls, and when this all happens in several places you end up with several lakes flooding large chunks of the world.

We've been working lately to make sure that every single item in Din's Champion has a unique icon (at least a color change). Given there's over a 1000 items (not even including magic versions), that's a lot of work.

I keep reducing how much damage attacks do to the blocks in Din's Champion for balance purposes, but it is kind of fun just running around demolishing everything with fireballs.

It's always interesting when someone trying to sell Soldak something sends me an email and asks me if I'm the right person to talk to or please forward this to the correct department. Tell me you didn't do any research on Soldak without telling me.

Now poison gas traps and skills in Din's Champion work with the new gases system: the poison gas floats up, builds up in places, interacts with other types of gases, and is a lasting dangerous hazard.

We've had a volcano object in our games for a long time now. In previous games, it would spit out lava puddles which were dangerous, but they would go away. Now that lava is a persistent liquid, the little volcanoes will now merrily flood the world with lava.
