Default Windows 11 Issue

I just bought a new Win 11 laptop and copied over all of my Soldak games (bought from the site, not from Steam) and tried to run them. All the games asked for the install key, which I input, then promptly crashed - all of them. Can't figure out what is wrong.

That's strange. The only experience I have with Windows 11 is my daughter's newer computer. The only game of ours I have tried on it is Din's Champion, but it works fine.

Which of our games have you tried?
What CPU and GPU do you have?

I have DoP, Dins Curse + expansion, Drox I, and Dins Legacy not on Steam. I have Zombacite + expansion on Steam, which works fine.

CPU: Intel i7 13260H
GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070 (for laptop)

So Zombasite works, but Din's Legacy doesn't?

I figured it out. It looks like somehow the backup file from my old computer got corrupted, and the only thing that ended up in my user file was an empty read only hidden file. So for example under Dins Curse I had in

c:\users\(name)\AppData\Local a folder named Dins Curse that was empty, read only and hidden. The same thing happened with Drox and Dins Legacy. I deleted these folders and the programs ran. I restored the user files from an earlier backup. Everything appears to work fine now. Thank you for your help and I hope this can help somebody else.

Well I'm glad you got it fixed. I'll have to add something for future games to exit more gracefully in that situation.
