A few notes about DO2
in no particular order:
1. Fresh start might be way too intimidating: got a legendary enemy spawned near the entry point on level 1, instakill. I thought it's a bad luck, alrighty, but the same story has repeated with the next ship. Not giving any armor at the beginning AND putting legendary enemy right near the start point (1-2 screens away counts too) is kinda brutal. 2. Galaxy objects spawn too tight to each other. I saw something like beads made of planets and satellites - like, 8 of them in a curved line, 3-4 isn't even surprising now. Or a stable wormhole spawned almost on the stargate. 3. While most of Galaxy Karma events I've seen are clear to understand, more or less, some of them are not. Shadows got Pirate Ring! Uh, what?.. It was mentioned somewhere already - if these events are important, they deserved a description. 4. Is 1.010 are the final patch and the game are complete, so I could grow my toons without fear of "rebalance" and such? P.S. Ah, it feels so good to get back into the Drox universe And ofc thanks for the game, gonna leave a nice review in Steam when I'll get pristine playtime number. |

There will probably be more patches at some point in time, but I really doubt there will be any major rebalancing.

When my ship has 2 of crew members with Scholar perk (4 and 6 lvls), do their bonuses stack?
I could probably test it out with two others crew members with some less obscure perks, like Power Mastery, but 1) I don't have two of them atm and 2) I'm afraid to remove any of my goons cause the whole loadout would went wacko like jenga |

The AI behaves like it's an acronim for Artificial Idiot, esp. when it comes to war/peace.
I had to declare war on one non-militaristic races (alliance went waaaaaagh) and found out they're filthy rich for this sector, like 300k. Instead of fast KKND rush I've reduced their powers to 0 ships and one planet, and then demanded their wealth for peace treaty, classic "money or life" style. They refused. Alrighty, I'm changing my demands to money AND Protectorate, if they're so scared of me or others. They refused. I've spent a few minutes changing the options but... The choice they've made was stupid at best. I had to blow the planet since there wasn't any sights of sentient lifeforms. Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri was a darn gem when it comes to diplomacy: on the brink of extermination any faction was ready to give you everything and become your (extremely loyal) ally, and only if you refused on this terms OR betrayed them after - they fought til the end without mercy or any chance of peace, spammins you with "nothing personal, you suck" and ignoring the intercom. |

Thanks for the replies, Shadow, much appreciated.
An odd encounter: found one stable wormhole that was leading into the very same system, just from the other side of map and a bit too far into the void (as we know it, a regular spawn is more or less on the edge inside). |

Uhm, I'm not too proud of the thing I'm doing but before leaving the sector I've won I check every race for wealth and Demand all of their money if they have a sum with satisfying numbers in it. And it works most of the time
