![]() I have a level 25 rogue and level 20 priest, but I'd still consider myself a newbie at this game. I do have a few questions though:
1) For Rogue's slice (and I believe there's also a warrior skill) with one skill point you begin with like -17% damage. Is that -17% damage for that skill or are you actually doing -17% damage with your normal hits unless you pump up that skill? I expect it's just for that skill, but I want to make sure. 2) Is their a way to heal (give food or potions) to a wandering recruit? It seems I always find them when they're nearly dead. I think that's it for now. Thanks. |

![]() 1) Yes, it's just for that skill.
2) You should be able to pick up a potion from your inventory and click on the wandering vendor to have them use it.

![]() I usually pause the game to make sure I can target the wounded NPC.
I used to have trouble when the inventory windows covered up the NPC, until I noticed you can drag food/potions from the hotkey bar as well. |

![]() Asking for advice here:
While I really enjoy playing my rogue, the style I use is basically just hack and slash. I have my str and vit at 50 for the bonus, and the rest of my points I've poured into dex so I have better attack/defense/weapons. My style is not to use any of the "skills" but to just beef up my passive skills (like armor piercing and dagger mastery for offense and the 3 defense skills for defense) and one point in sneak. While so far I'm doing very well (I don't use any mods), I'm wondering-if this is the style I enjoy, would I not be better suited for the warrior class? Thoughts? And if I do decide to switch to warrior, what skills are most productive when wielding a one-handed high speed weapon and shield? What skills if I want to use a higher damage, slower weapon? Any suggestions on which strategy people prefer? Does defense become an issue without a shield? |

![]() If you're playing that way, warrior probably is the way to go. Top skills are the mastery and focus skills in any case, i think.
Oh, and use plate. I personally flip-flop between them. If you're going for shieldless, use swords because the sword mastery skill gives a defense bonus.

![]() Do the warrior skills that are for "axe mastery" and "sword mastery" only take effect when wielding that weapon. From how the bonus's read on the screen, it looks like they should effect everything, no matter what weapon you're wielding.

![]() They only effect that specific weapon type. You can use arms mastery instead if you want to go the more generic route. It gives you more weapon choices, but less bonuses.

![]() I skip dealing with that and just move my points around when i switch weapons, which isn't often because only very good yellows and unique get used by me due to how much better they are than poor yellows and greens.

![]() Rogues are only allowed to use daggers and one handed swords for weapons and cloth and leather armor for armor. Warriors use the plate and mail armor and any of the weapons in the game.
If you want to use axes and other weapons and armor, you'd prally be better off with a warrior. |
