I've been breaking down skills into components lately for the next game. Instead of having a fireball skill, you would have separate firebolt and fire explosion skills. You can then combine them with each other or other skills to get different results.

Yesterday was one of those days where I ended the day with a new change not working and I wasn't sure it was going to work at all. Then 3 hours later I randomly thought of a solution that took 30 seconds to implement and fixed everything. Programming is weird sometimes.

I think I have figured out how I'm going to do sloped terrain and blended blocks for the next game now. I even have some of the required pieces of tech working.

Today I started working on blending tiles better for the next game. In previous games, I have just used vertex blending but in the next game you will actually need to see what each block is so that's not good enough.

I have most of the block transition/blending stuff working for the next game. I think it makes things look a lot better. I promise one of these days I will actually start releasing screenshots.
