![]() The Mac demo gives an error:
Critical Error: Couldn't find Database/database.dbl! On the Mac (macOS High Sierra 10.13.3)... I also had a problem with the game with the latest patch quitting on me during first character creation, but I copied the binary from my desktop to the laptop, and figured it might just be that I hadn't installed from scratch or something I had modded...so i went to try the demo —*and here we are. |

![]() Can't find database, hm did you possibly delete all the zip files inside game's assets folder?
I can see there being confusion because you put mods there too |

![]() I installed the demo straight from the Soldak download (after deleting the copy from my desktop Applications folder).
Then I deleted the demo, got my original install files and reinstalled and that was fine — but thought maybe Steve would want to know that the demo itself doesn't seem to be working on High Sierra. |

![]() That might be Apple's new Gatekeeper Path Randomization / App Translocation stuff getting in the way. Some things you can try: 1) after installing, move the game with Finder to a different folder, 2) xattr -d com.apple.quarantine <FileName>

![]() The game is fine from the installer. I knew better than to just copy from the Applications folder....especially a modded game.
The demo downloaded and installed straight from the site didn't work. |
