I'd like to see megabeasts (like in dwarf fortress) raging around galaxies and destroying worlds.. and even races make alliances to attack this kind of creatures

I'm okay with races having some "cheats" to help them along. I don't think anyone expects an AI to be anywhere near as flexible and strategic as a human would be. The trick is in how effective you are at masking the AI's "cheats" so it isn't entirely obvious. I also like to see adaptive AI that can adjust its behavior based on current situations, but programming that can be an arduous process.

I agree with gornova that having some races cooperate against threats such as monsters or enemy empires would be interesting to see.

adding connection text for every quest to quest transition in Drox Operative takes a LONG time

Yeah but it's totally worth it! Makes a huge difference in DC. Funny -- I was just looking through those today.

In this case I was actually going one step further than what we did in DC. In DC all of the connection information was in the announcement event text which was much better than what DoP did.

I now store a lot of the connection data, so we can tell you what instigated this problem in the quest text also. Personally I think this makes it much easier to understand the quest flow.

Yeah that's really cool. Great idea there to have it in the actual quest description. That also makes each quest seem more unique.

I added a self destruct component today to Drox Operative. I wonder how often it will get used.

Oh, I'd totally use this to flip the final bird to some impossibly hard-to-beat unique ship with a ridiculously overpowered combination of random enhancements.
