How to create a larger shared stash?

I been using the ScrObot's mod with the giant cargo bays found in
http://www.soldak.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24563 . It's good, but got me thinking would be nice if there was a way to increase the number of cargo bays the shared stash can hold. A bit confused on how to go about it.

Has anyone else done something like this? Experimenting with a much larger shared stash maybe 12 bays.
