Default Zombasite patch 0.903

Patch 0.903 of Zombasite is available over on the Zombasite patch page. Changes can be read here. This patch greatly reduces multiplayer lag, fixes hunting parties not working sometimes, fixes some characters taking longer for skills than they should, fixes a few crashes, and fixes a bunch of other minor issues.

Are recruitable NPCs not showing their skills and stats correctly for anyone else? I'm near the end of an area, I'll see if a newly generated one has the same problem.

The potion cooldown graphic is bleeding off of the icon onto the map when I open my inventory.

And the cooldown from alchemist goes through 2 separate cooldowns, (unsure if this is fixable though)

Looks like they don't show their correct stats until after you recruit them. A recruitable NPC showed most stats at zero. After I recruited him, the stats had reasonable numbers. Is that what you're seeing?

Yes, along with no skills at all.

I no longer have the ability to preview a recruit's stats/skills before I hire him/her. There are no skill icons displayed to the right of the stats, which by the way are all zero. I have won an area since the patch, i.e. it happens in new areas as well.

Not being able to see their skills is not intentional btw.

I just wanted to report that only thing keeping me from playing this game is the green gas attacks. It destroys my party every time they appear. I can fight most of the mobs/bosses and deal with most environment damage with not too much difficulty, when i die it's usually my fault. However this green gas instantly kills you with nothing you do about it. I spent last town tring to get through 2nd area from town, there are these zombie breeding death mobs that when killed then spawn zombie parasites that drop poison on ground which isn't a big deal but when they die they then spawn 3-4 poison clouds that wipe out your party and yourself if your standing in them faster then you can run out of the clouds. Again most things that damage me and my party take time and usually its enough time to run, but this kills you so quickly from full health it's not even funny, i was trying to slowly go through map by killing the small guys and running, killing small guys and running. almost losing party members each time trying to get far enough away so my party warps to me out of the poison, eventually i just gave up and abandoned that area since i wasn't able to get to next area successfully and lost multiple party members trying. The next town i started the FIRST area outside my town again had these creatures that spawn the poison gas. I don't think it's just those creates, i believe this same poison gas is used by other mobs and also environment. For example once i tried to open a door in a dungeon and green gas spawns around me and i couldn't turn back to run since my party members was blocking my path and i died instantly along with my party.

This is only thing stopping me from enjoying the game. I do understand dying is party of game and i'm perfectly ok with it, i have died and lost party members to other reasons but there is nothing worst then having something in a game instant kill you and party members you lose permanently with absolutely nothing you can do about it. This has killed the fun of this game for me at this point. I'll come back and try testing more later once more balancing is done.

So far I haven't been able to reproduce the green gas problem. What is the name of the creature giving you trouble? What level are you and the creature?

The little Zombie Parasites that... Plaugebringers? spawn upon death are usually the culprit for me. (The progression of enemy names keeps me confused. ) The big guys die and spawn 3 or 4 of the little guys. I typically use an AoE on them (Exploding Arrow w/ extra projectiles) right when they spawn when they're close together so they all die at once, and more often then not they die with a huge poison cloud. Perhaps they stack, and that's what's causing such an issue? NPCs are too stupid to get out of the poison and usually die (with their gravestone being immediately destroyed too).

Poison mushroom environment items also cause this.

When I have party members, my usual tactic is to blow up the little guys with the AoE skill and run in the opposite direction as fast as I can so the NPCs teleport to me.

I have 27 deaths, I'd wager 10-15 of them have been from a big (stacked?) poison cloud. For my party members, it's probably 75% of their deaths. (The other major source of death is named enemy human characters, [blah] the Spy, [blah] the Summoner, etc. They hit HARD.)
