I'm still working on lighting stuff for the next game. Lighting is really not my favorite task, but it looks like I'm making progress.

I now have the player light working pretty well for the next game. The next step is sunlight.

I have sunlight and light from the player working for the next game, now on to placeable torches. I really already have the lighting part done, just need to be able to place them.

I improved the lighting for the next game today. It should be faster, use less memory, and look better. For a change, no downsides.

I'm done with lighting for now for the next game. Next up is recipes/crafting, so you have something to do with all of the materials that you can mine.

I started working on recipes today for the next game. Now I'm working on trees. Game development is weird sometimes.

I now have a crafting system working in the next game (using up specific materials to create a new item based on a recipe).

Today I added a workbench, a stone anvil, a furnace, and lots of metal bars to the next game for crafting purposes.

I got a lot of the little crafting details implemented in the last few days for the next game: highlighting which block you're going to mine, showing where and object will be placed, showing recipe details, upgradable crafting stations, etc.
