That's true. Once we decide on a concept, we tend to stick with it and all of the exploration is about how to make that concept as fun as possible.

My current ship in Drox Operative has been fully destroyed 3 times so far, 2 of them were from doomsday weapons released by me.

there are achievements in Drox ? I've missed this, sorry. Being killed 10 times from a player doomsday weapon could be cool

There are achievements. I do keep track of how many times you have used doomsday weapons, but not your deaths to them.
