Some things added to the next game today: corruption mechanic, anti-magic dangerous to skeletons, fire mushrooms, and yellow mold.

Testing some torchlight gameplay: a Scree comes over and puts it out. I light it again and kill the Scree. I take a few steps, set off a wind trap and all the torches go out. I turn my torch back on. Some other monster starts a fight. During the fight the torch gets destroyed.

There was a shooting at the apartments at the closest intersection out of our housing division this morning. My wife literally has driven past it 6 times today (driving our kids to and from school).

Terrain height is affecting more and more gameplay in the next game: liquids spread down hill, attack bonuses if higher than enemy, changes move speeds, etc.

I've been working on some shadow mapping stuff. I'm at the point where I could be 15 minutes away from getting the basics working or a week.

I got the basics of Shadow Mapping working over the weekend for the next game. I still have to do a ton of little things, but they should be much easier and less frustrating.

I had a bug a few days ago where a spark would come off of a torch, hit an NPC, and that NPC would turn around and attack my character. It was like all the monsters were now toddlers.
