stuttering?
I'm playing the demo and every once in awhile i'll get a sound stutter for a few seconds with maybe a little video hitch...It will do this on a couple of other games...this is a used computer and I noticed the paging file was set to 1gb max and 2mb min...I changed to let windows manage and it seemed to reduce but not totally eliminate..I have XP Pro and 1GB of ram..

Something like that is probably the game accessing something(s) that is on the hard drive and it needs it right then.

Well I don't know about normal, but it's certainly possible.
You might want to check how fragmented your hard drive is, especially since this happens in multiple games.
