Default [Release] Simple XP Gain Modification

Hi everybody,

first post. Jay.

I really love to enjoy Din's Curse. It's a great game and i had lots of hours of fun so far. But i dont have much time to spend with videogames.

Din's Curse primary concentrates on solving quests and killing monsters. But in my humble opinion the XP gain per monsterkill is way too low. It feels like my character progression goes very slow. It feels like killing monsters expect for solving quests is useless. Because it gives too few XP. However solving quests feel fine.

So i made a mod which increases the XP gain per monsterkill and i want to let you know how to do it yourself. I altered the base values for XP scaling in the systems.gdb file. The file is locatet in assets3.zip /Database.

The base values to alter are:

GameSystem
{
XpMultMonsterNormal 1.0
XpMultMonsterCommon 2.0
XpMultMonsterUncommon 3.0
XpMultMonsterRare 4.0
XpMultMonsterVeryRare 5.0
XpMultMonsterUnique 6.0
XpMultMonsterLegend 7.0
XpMultMonsterBoss 25.0
}

So if you want to double XP gain per monsterkill just multiply all the values by 2. You wont change any difficulty of the game. You just will progress faster. For me double Xp gain per monsterkill feels just fine.

I added 3 attachments to give you some examples. They are 1.5, 2 and 3 times XP gain per monsterkill.

Some of you already know about this and edited it themself.

Ciao

Thanks for this mod, I really like it. To be honest it feels like this should be the default pace of the game...at least for me that is :P

Those changes should work at the same time as the slow/face pace stuff.
