I pretty much changed all of the values for movement today in the next game (speed, acceleration, jump impulse, gravity, falling damage, etc) and improved the related effects some. It was fine before, but I think it feels much better now.

I improved the animation system today to get rid of some jitters during some animation transitions. Overall it makes the player and monsters feel a lot better.

I smoothed out the monster movement in the next game a little today. I'm much happier with how everything, including the player, moves around now.

This was one of those weekends where I couldn't turn off my design brain, so I didn't get much of a weekend. However, I wrote several pages of notes about how to make the next game better, so that's definitely a good thing.

I finished up some more movement related tasks for the next game today, next up is a combat pass.

Monsters are much more dangerous in the next game now. I doubled their speed and gave them higher jumping today.

It seems like I have only changed a few little things (knockback, screenshake, swipes, etc), but the combat in the next game feels much better now. I still have many more changes to go though.

I spent most of today adding swipes to all of the monsters for the next game, but wasn't quite sure about it. A little bit of testing though shows it was time well spent. Feels good and also looks cool, especially in the dark.

Funny bug of the day: if you got webbed by a giant spider in the next game, gravity would stop affecting you.
