Default Balance! Drox Operative 2 patch 0.831

Patch 0.831 of Drox Operative 2 is now available. Changes can be read here.

Balance! This patch better balances a ton of different things like component crew requirements, legend points for a win, race ship defense, and higher difficulties.

Just finished my first playthrough with the new patch, level 116 with lvl 95 ship.
The patch makes the game fun and challenging to play again, thanks

Mostly because you can select levels > 100 if you have not reached level 100 yourself. But I really like the changes in the patch, the buffs and nerfs are pretty good and deserved even though they cut my DPS in half

The one thing I do not agree with is the nerf to race ships :

decreased defense, attack, and health of race combat ships in higher difficulty levels

Race ships still die very quickly and planets with 5 or more race ships are still no real challenge. (level 116 universie, lvl 95 ship)

My first try was level 120 with a lvl 94 ship but balance gets a bit wonky there. Mobs, race ships and most orange ships die quickly and are no issue and than you get one-shotted by one.

Yeah, this one is going to be tricky. At some levels race ships seem to take forever to kill and at really high levels they seem too easy.

Player power is quadratic or higher, as they get more slots, weapons go up linearly but can be combined, and skills give them bonuses. Race ship health is linear.

Yeah, the curves are very different. The race combat ships power isn't linear though. They also get more and more slots with better and better components. They don't get components that boost other components and don't get skills. However, they do get power jumps at difficulty level boundaries.

They're also not optimizing for the best, most effective items as players are.
