Here's the colors that are used in the game in various places. Depending on what you are doing these are either referenced by number or name.

what is the behaviour like for none? does it make the text transparant, or does it inherit it's parents colour or am I wrong both times?

None is used internally for some stuff. I'm actually not sure what will happen if you use it in the middle of some text.
